Makeup Tips for Dark Circles!
No matter what I try, I can never seem to mask my dark under-eye circles. And wearing eye makeup is the most frustrating thing of all. I can never wear dark colors or my face looks sort of dirty, but I can't wear light colors either. And heaven forbid if I try to wear liner or shadow on the lower lid! They all seem to make the dark circles seem more prominent! I need makeup tips for my light skin tone and Asian features! Please help!

Post a CommentI found this great tip: before putting on concealer, get one of those translucent highlighting eye shadows. They come in a light cream color and they are usually used to highlight the brow bone area. Apply it to the darkest areas only. For me it is the inner most corner of my eye, leading towards the bottom ridge of my circle. After that, apply your concealer over your eye area, blending the highlighted area with a brush. What this does is it allows to the darkest areas to reflect light, therefore creating a lighter illusion. For me this allows for less concealer/makeup use overall.
Hola Chica! I see this was posted long ago! But I thought I'd give another tip for you =). Prior to applying a concealer or foundation, apply an eye primer to your eyes and underneath your eyes around your dark circles. This is going to allow better application for your makeup. Next apply your foundation first, and then use a concealer that is slightly lighter than your skin tone for your dark circles, blend it beneath your eyes making sure there are no harsh lines between your concealer and foundation. Next thing you want to do is set it w/ a powder.
