Find a Bare Minerals or Sephora near you and try the makeup before you buy
it. That way you will not waste any money. Most of those stores will let you use the makeup while you are there to try it out. I use Bare Minerals and have no problems with it at all! Good luck and I hope you can find something that will work for you!

I have tried the Loreal minerals make up and I love it. i don't have sensitive skin though. But I noticed that when I used it my skin clears up. I have combination skin and am usually oily in the summer which leaves me prone to breakouts. When I switched to the mineral foundation (powder kind of like Bare Minerals) I noticed my skin cleared up right away. I love it. It is cheaper too.

My mother has VERY sensitive skin and has to be very careful with the cosmetics and facial/skin products she uses. I'm not sure of the prices, but Prescriptives and Shiseido are much more mild products and pretty much the only brands she can use without having problems.

I use the Avon Mineral makeup. It works really well and I have bad skin as well. Good luck!

I break out from almost anything too!! I used bae minerals and it didn't make me break out but didnt offer me the coverage I was looking for. If you figure out your skintone (go to the bare minerals website) you can find the color you need and buy just that and the brush on ebay for cheaper or at sephora. I think the foundation on its own is only 25 dollars. If you look at the beuty junkies group they show an array of cheap brushes you can buy from the craft store for waay less! Beware of their mineral veil because it contains talk which can glog pores and make you break out (so i didn't use that!!).
Now I use prescriptives and it covers better without breaking me out, I use flawless face which is 100% oil free.

Oh BTW if you're concerned about talc clogging your pores read the backs of the cheaper brands of mineral makeup. Loreal's mineral makeup is mostly talc (that's why it's cheaper too, talc is a cheap filler). You don't want to breath that stuff in either as there have been reports on talc causing cancer (that's why baby powder is now only made of corn starch). Just to warn you all...

i have the same exact problem. my skin is super insanely sensitive. bare minerals is the only makeup that doesn't make me break out. i totally trust it. i wish they had a liquid version though. i'm sure if you go into a bare escentuals store or a sephora, they will give you samples. both sephora and bare minerals are great about returns. if you have a problem with it, they will take it back - used. be careful of the BE primer though. it made me break out.

Sephora and Nordstrom have great sampling and return policies. There really is not such thing as 'hypoallergenic' because people are all allergic to different things. Do you know what's caused you trouble in the past. There's a website CosmeticDatabase.com where you can pull up the products that have troubled you in the past and compare ingredients to get to the root of the problem. Otherwise, it's pretty hit and miss.

I have horrible skin. Bare Minerals works for me but is very expensive. Herbal Basics on ebay is just as good and a LOT cheaper. I still love Bare Minerals but only buy it if there's a special and I mix it with the less expensive stuff from ebay. I also like the powder form foundations because my skin is so oily. Also, I think using the oil blotters (rice paper - CVS $5 buck for 50) during the day not only keeps you looking good but keeps your pores from clogging with oil and make up. but that's just me.
